This WG aims to assemble all papers that focus on the theoretical reflection about the dictionary as a study object, as well as those papers concerning to the relationship between a general theory of the dictionary and the particularities of the different languages ​​that are described by dictionaries.

This WG aims to meet papers focused on debate any aspect of the treatment of phraseological units in monolingual and bilingual lexicography, as well as in other documents that may be used as didatic material for teaching vocabulary. We will accept proposals which approach the topic of phraseological units in terms of its constitution, historiography, variation or contrastivity.


WG8 - Lexicografia e Ensino de Línguas

This working thematic group aims to the study of lexicography, especially in the area of Pedagogical ​​(Meta) Lexicography, with emphasis on the teaching and learning of languages ​​(MT/FL). (Meta)lexicographical research has contributed hugely to the improvement of the acquisition process, learning and language teaching, whether in the dictionary as the consulting instrument, whether as a teaching resource. Methodologically, one realizes the dictionary growing rescue as an educational tool from the PNLD/dicionários, which began to direct public policy in that area. In this working thematic group, based on lexicographic approaching, it will be accepted studies and researches that point to the dictionary (or glossary) as a privileged pedagogical resource to language teaching and language learning​​and practices and techniques combined with the use of the dictionary in classroom (teaching contextand language learning).

This working thematic group is open to proposals which deal with Interlanguage Analysis about a regarding its form, meaning and distribution of different linguistic, extra-linguistic and paralinguistic elements related tointerlanguage of different mother tongues and not mother tongue learners. It also will be welcomed papers which aim to evaluate, to discuss, to criticize and to complement theoretical and methodological aspectsrelated to Contrastive Linguistics and Interlanguage Analysis.

This WG aims to gather, debate, socialize and stimulate researches on vocabulary acquisition in mother tongue and second languages​​, aiming to get a better understanding of the ways that studies in this area can contribute to the field of lexicography, especially to pedagogical lexicography. Proposals will be accepted from theoretical and / or empirical, quantitative or qualitative nature, addressing the acquisition process in a variety of contexts, with adults or children.
